Vacancy for Parish Clerk & Finance Officer

 

Salary: £14.21-£17.10* per hr (depending on experience and qualifications), 20 hours per month

(*plus an annual pay award from April 2023 not yet agreed)

 

Temple Normanton Parish Council is looking for a keen, proactive person to be our Parish Clerk – could it be you?

 

The Parish Clerk is the person who runs the day-to-day affairs of the Council in accordance with the policies set, and decisions made, by the 7 councillors.

 

The successful candidate will have an appreciation of working in a public-service role and be community-focused, with sound communication and organisational skills, and an understanding of basic accountancy. A willingness to work to work towards obtaining the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) would be welcome.

 

The role allows flexible working (mostly home-based). You’ll need to attend the Council’s evening meetings – usually once a month on a Monday.

Two vacancies exist for Councillors on Temple Normanton Parish Council.

 

Electoral law allows these vacancies to be filled by co-option, and so expressions of interest from potential co-optees are now welcome – an opportunity for anyone interested to get involved in representing the community’s needs and aspirations.

 

The Council meets monthly, usually on a Monday evening.
